At the start of every trip, whether to Rome or the grocery store, my uncle quotes Gerard Manley Hopkins. Now The Windhover pops into my head at each new beginning, especially those involving travel. I'm not a poetry person, but those words always conjure the feeling of wind in my hair as I sail forward into adventure.
Well, we're sailing, Sam and me. Or rather, flying economy on a budget airline. We've said goodbye to our friends, apartment, and the vast majority of our stuff, and are about to take a very early train to the airport. It's been hard leaving Chungju. (It's been a pain in the butt too. Packing is not on my list of talents.) But we're excited to be heading in a in a new direction.
We'll tell you all about it soon. But for now, we're taking a few weeks' hiatus. Time for a well-earned vacation before returning our noses to various grindstones.
